The Vallon des Auffes owes its name to the auffe (or auffo in Proven\u00e7al), a plant used in the manufacture of ship ropes or fishing nets. The small port therefore has several dozen small, typical and very colorful fishermen’s houses, but also their boats, including several pointus, typical Proven\u00e7al boats which give this place charm.<\/p>\n
