Let’s go to sea from the most beautiful and oldest city in France: Marseille.
On board, the sailboat we will leave the port where a thousand stories are told before setting sail, the islands of Friuli, the famous prison of the castle of yew, before anchoring in a small paradisiacal cove. A picnic, a jump in the water, a nap in the sun, and the leeward return to the ancient city…
We will pick you up by minivan to take you directly to the Old Port of Marseille where a fully prepared boat will be waiting for you to start your excursion.
We will start our excursion by approaching the Frioul Islands – and – The Island of If, and its castle. This fortress, built under the orders of François I between 1527 and 1529, essentially served as a prison during its first 400 official years of use. And it was she who inspired Alexandre Dumas in his immensely famous novel “Le Comte du Monte-Christo” published in 1844.
We will then leave these Islands to set sail for Marseille to reach the Calanques National Park, where we will anchor in a quiet and discreet cove with transparent and placid waters, where we will have lunch under the sun.
Accompanied by your sommelier guide, we will of course take the opportunity to taste a local wine and learn all about the wine of Provence.
The time will come for a nap for some, or a swim in heavenly water for others.
On the way back, we will test your skills as sailors downwind to the south to the Old Port and tell the story of Marseille’s spirit, its warm and festive culture and its indomitable temperament; but also its maritime history, that of the various capes that make up its coastline; as well as recognition of its flora and fauna.
Finally when you arrive at the Port, the Driver will take you to your place of residence.
